WIEP Report

The University of Delaware has advised the Club that we will no longer be allowed to display prints on the walls in the Clayton Hall gallery area since the hanging rails have been removed as part of a redecoration scheme. This effectively means that we will no longer be able to use that facility. They have apologized for any inconvenience and have agreed to help us find another suitable venue for the WIEP.

Karl Leck and other club representatives met with members of the UD staff to inspect Arsht Hall on the UD Wilmington Campus as an alternative. It was found to be suitable with adequate linear wall space for hanging the prints and with a large room for showing the slide presentation. While it is not as well arranged as Clayton Hall in Newark, the location is more centralized, parking space is more accessible and the cost is equivalent. It has been tentatively reserved for our use. Meanwhile, efforts continue to find a more suitable facility.

If you would like to host one of the WIEP judges for the weekend of January 21-23 (and perhaps longer for the judge who will speak on Monday, the 24th), please call or email Gloria Coe at 302-239-7236 or send an email to gcoe@udel.edu. We will need hosts for at least one couple and several singles.
