2020-2021 Assigned Subjects
All images that are to be entered in the Assigned Subject competition for the 2020-2021 DPS year must have been captured on or after August 12, 2019.
AUGUST 2020 (online only): Flowers of 2020 (An image showing flower(s) that bloomed in 2020)
SEPTEMBER 2020: Covid-19 (An image that evokes our life in the Time of COVID)
OCTOBER 2020: Macro (Close-Up) Image
NOVEMBER 2020: Color Contrast ((Image showing different colors that enhance theme)
DECEMBER 2020 (online only): Party Item (An image showing an item(s) that suggests party or celebration)
JANUARY 2021: Seeds (Plant seeds)
FEBRUARY 2021: Plated Meal (Ready to eat food on a plate)
MARCH 2021: My Big Toe (Interesting selfie of photographer's big toe [homage to the late Bill Talarowski] )
APRIL 2021: Architectural Detail (An interesting portion of a building or large scale manmade edifice)
September 2021-April 2022 Assigned Subjects
A requirement for Assigned Subjects is that the member specify the capture date of each image entered. The date appears in the image metadata. The date is only correct if the photographer has entered the correct date/time setting in the camera. Everyone should check their cameras to be sure that the date/time are set accurately so they have a ready reference when considering an image for Assigned Subject entry.

SEPTEMBER 2021: Frame the Subject (Subject is framed by natural or manmade things)
OCTOBER 2021: Abandoned (Building or item that has been untouched for a long time)
NOVEMBER 2021: Farm Scene (A farm in any season)
JANUARY 2022: Peaceful Moment (Scene with a peaceful feeling)
FEBRUARY 2022: In My Home (Image made within the walls of your home)
MARCH 2022: Pan or Zoom Motion (Image made by camera or lens movement during exposure)
APRIL 2022: Texture (Image where texture is emphasized)

SEPTEMBER 2019: Automobile Detail (Part of an automobile)
OCTOBER 2019: Smoke (Image where smoke is the predominant subject)
NOVEMBER 2019: Round Image (Circular image by vignetting, fisheye, polar coordinates, crop; no right angle image corners)
JANUARY 2020: Jewelry (Non-clothing, removable decorative accessory on a person/creature or by itself)
FEBRUARY 2020: Angry Mother Nature (Storm, eruption, earthquake, etc. or its obvious results)
MARCH 2020: Father (Shows a biological father or things representing or suggesting one)
APRIL 2020: Cooking (Show the process of preparing food with heat)
