Our mission at DPS is to encourage and develop interest in photography, in all its phases, from a pastime, to a fine art.

We provide regular meetings at which members, and the public, may meet leaders in the photographic field. Check out our Events section for more details.

We exchange ideas, provide instruction for one another and exhibit our work.

The membership fee is only $55.00 per year. Anyone who is 18 years of age or older can apply for DPS membership. The DPS year is July 1st to June 30th. Renewals are due beginning July 1st each year. The fee for an applicant joining after February 1 is $55 and is collected at the time of joining but will cover membership through June 30 of the following year.

Here are just a few great benefits awaiting you:

• Improve your photography by attending instruction nights, seminars, field trips, or workshops.

• Challenge yourself by participating in our monthly assigned subject or open subject competitions. We have categories for prints and projected images. Do you like to heavily manipulate your photography to create new images? Then the altered reality category in our competitions is for you!

• You can solicit feedback on your work from experienced club members.

• You have the opportunity to discuss photos, technique, or gear with like-minded individuals of all experience levels from beginner to pro.

• This organization is supported, in part, by a grant from the Delaware Division of the Arts, a state agency, in partnership with the National Endowment for the Arts. The Division promotes Delaware arts events on www.DelawareScene.com.
